Kurt Tolle was a young combat engineer in 1940, when a party of SS men and Charles Westcote-Kern (who he hates) recruited him for an ill-advised jaunt into the Paris catacombs. Only he, Kern, and Manfred Suissane survived. The experience scarred Tolle and left him with strange, recurrent nightmares. He has taken to drink and is now a serious alcoholic. Working on weather-control equipment with jan lang in greenland, Tolle found himself *again* encountering the horrors of the Paris underground. A DET66 team rescued him, and he was happy to accompany them to Washington for debriefing. He unofficially assisted in numerous operations, including a stint with MI5-20 on the continent. Tolle was killed in 1946, in Boston, by parties unknown.
