Torvald Manders

Torvald Manders was born in Rhinelander, Wisconsin to Norwegian immigrant parents. He is a bull of a man with an affinity for all things mechanical -- especially farm equipment. He is also a psychic "wild talent" who can sometimes use his mind to move small objects. Torvald calls this his "knack" and doesn't discuss it -- to him it is perfectly natural, and quite useful for replacing hard-to-reach cotter pins in grain threshers. Torvald was recruited by Detachment 66 shortly after the "Saint Patrick's Day incident" of 1940. He walks with a slight limp and still carries a bullet fired by Frank White in the shootout at Deutschhorst Country Club in Sellersville, Pennsylvania. Since then, he has been active within the detachment. In 1941, he experienced a lot of strangeness in southern Poland that convinced him the world was an even weirder place than he had imagined. He has become a capable and much-used domestic agent, and is currently recovering from hip and leg injuries inflicted by nazi zombies in Annandale, Virginia.
