Constantyn Lubelsky was a soldier in the Free Polish Carpathian Brigade in Tobruk, North Africa in 1941. After experiencing the re-animation of Egyptian undead outside the Temple of Thoth, Lubelsky was recruited by Leon Muzetti into the FSG/DET-66 fold. After Tobruk, he was able to hear the voices of the dead, although he didn't like it much. He participated in the "Polish Box" mission and was brought to the US as the DET66 engineering advisor in late '41. In the years after, Lubelsky participated in a number of Det66 missions over the war years, accompanied, apparently, by the unwitting ghost of Linus Kaszinski.
In 1944, in order to carry out a mission to put the "Motahim" to rest, Lubelsky was one of several agents subjected to an experimental device that switched his "spirit" and mind into a german POW's body. In the course of the mission, Lubelsky, in this form, was destroyed by the clash of holy and unholy powers in Peppin the Short's Tomb. His spirit-less body was cremated and later put to rest in Poland after the war.
