Walter Corliss

Janusek Corliss (AKA "Wild Walter" Corey, James Corcoran) is a prolific and experienced pulp writer, whose work has appeared in Weird Romance, Terror Tales, and other "B" list magazines. He is well known in the industry for his ability to write rapidly in any genre, from western to sports to thriller, and makes a good part of his income from "rush jobs" pounding out filler stories. While the pulps have faded since their heyday, Corliss' versatility has kept him fed. His parents were Polish Germans, and he speaks both languages haltingly. Corliss was recruited into Detachment 66 shortly after the "Saint patrick's Day incident" of 1940. Went to Poland; later helped take down Elroy Johnson. Corliss has started writing about his exploits in "Two Fisted Tales" magazine, using a psuedonym and coloring events slightly.
