Edmondsen, with Spench, and Tolle as bodyguards and Penard as guide and resistance contact, were sent into the Picardy village of Noyon-sur-Oise to recover a mystical relic (a fragment of the skull of John the Baptist) from the parish church. The entire affair was a trap sprung by the AsA to capture Edmondsen, which came close to succeeding. The German assault team used Z-gas as a distraction and a horde of undead (with an able assist from Tolle's satchel charge) killed poor old Pinard. By summoning the dread demon Moloch, Edmondsen was able to eliminate most of the attackers. Tolle commandeered an armored personnel carrier and Spench spent the entire affair cowering in fear and urinating on himself.
