AFTER-ACTION REPORT

"Dime CP, this is Golf Ball! We do not hold the airfield! Repeat, we do not hold the airfield! Need to call in fire! Need armor!"

"Roger Golf Ball. Understood. Be advised, Dime Beach is under fire as well, and backed up. Armor cannot get ashore. You are to hold at all costs, Golf Ball. Repeat, hold the objective. Help is on the way..."

As the first official DET66/SG operation, the team was assigned to assist with the assault on Sicily. After extensive training alongside the 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment and the 1st Marine Raiders, agents ROOK, SERAPH, EYEBALL, & HALFMAN were delivered to the Mediterranean attack force. During the battle, the team helped to hold the Piano Lupo crossroads and airfield, overcoming elements of the Hermann Goering division, including a number of advanced armor units that walked on legs (note: analysis of destroyed units suggest contributions by AsA agent Hohenleutner). The free agent known only as "Kilroy" was also present, fighting alongside the 505th. All personnel involved in the operation were debriefed carefully by the OSS, in order to preserve the top secret nature of SG's involvement.
