AFTER-ACTION REPORT
"Perhaps we could arrange your return to Japan ..."
--Steven Eldridge
A joint DET66/Office of Naval Intelligence team investigated a series of strange events in the Territory of Hawaii. A midget sub that ran aground near Heeia during the Pearl Harbor raid released three Japanese mythological creatures -- a Tengu (The spirit of a shinto priest, Kazuo Arato), a bekemono demon, and a savage kappa. All three began a reign of terror and mischief that included murder and sabotage. The team successfully relocated the Tengu and elminated the bakemono threat, and enlisted the aid of a Shinto priest, Ron Ishigawa, to contain the kappa. A traitorous professor at the university of Hawaii, Dr. William Hatayama, stole the fourth (unopened) jar and dispatched the rapidly-multiplying bakemono to kill the agents. Lieutenant Justin Skoble was seriously burned in the ambush. Later, the team attempted to prevent Hatayama from releasing the fourth demon, a Japanese Oni, on Oahu's north shore, but failed. Ishigawa managed to contain the Oni, but in the process Hatayama was killed and most of the team were injured. The sealed Oni jar was placed in Ishigawa's custody in the Honolulu Shinto temple.
