Today's word is Uxoricide! That's when a husband kills his wife. I learned it by looking up Aphrodite Jones' new book about Michael Petersen for a patron. It's also a very handy subject heading in our catalog, in case you love books where the husband kills the wife. A gold star to anybody who knows the word for when the wife kills the husband...

Posted by: Robo at March 2, 2005 10:46 AMSo if sororicide is killing one's sister, what would be the word for offing the entire membership of a sorority? Not that I've ever considered doing this or actually done it, mind you. ahem.
Want to hear something funny? I approached a couple at the Cradle, because based on some criteria in my head, I thought they might be you and your husband.
they weren't :-)
and i couldn't remember your page, but lo and behold I got a referral from here just today. Weird, isn't it?
Posted by: pinky at March 4, 2005 02:49 PMdang, thanks for trying to say hello to us! it's hard to catch my better half out at a show, so if the lady has a guy with her, it's probably not me. our main romantic hangout is the UMall Harris Teeter, actually.
